Moana is from the fictional island of Motonui in Polynesia. However, it didn’t open to the general public until November 23. Moana officially premiered on Novemat El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Until that new cavalcade is ready to debut, though, Moana will continue to show how far she’ll go as part of the “Magic Kigndom Cavalcade.Before we jump into Moana at Disney World, let’s take a step back to go over its early days, as well as answer a few frequently asked questions. It was also confirmed that Disney’s wayfinding heroine would also be a part this updated entertainment offering alongside characters from “Zootopia,” “Coco,” “The Incredibles,” “The Jungle Book,” and many more. However, this “Magic Kingdom Cavalcade” won’t be sticking around at Walt Disney World too much longer, as it was announced at November’s “Destination D23” event that a new “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade” would be replacing it some time in 2022. Other characters that accompany her on this journey through Magic Kingdom include Peter Pan, Alice, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, and Gaston. Moana fist joined this particular cavalcade (which had previously been known as the “Fanatsyland Friends Cavalcade”) in April 2021, replacing Winnie the Pooh in the spot of honor at the top of the float. During the “Magic Kingdom Cavalcade,” she instead rides a parade float shaped like a giant present down Main Street U.S.A. In her 2016 feature film, Moana had to navigate a boat across the open ocean in order to complete her quest, but she can currently be seen riding a very different kind of vehicle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
